I have the Hatsan semi-auto tactical. A buddy has the pump version.

These come with a screw on flash hider.

I bought a pair of screw on chokes. They look like the original flash hider, but they are threaded on the inside for Winchester choke tubes. They come with a Modified choke tube. They are made for the Russian SAIGA shotgun, and have the same muzzle threads as the Hatsan.

We unscrewed the flash hiders, put a dab of blue Loktite on the barrel threads and screwed on the choke assembly.

Both of us have test fired the new choke and they work just fine.

My 2 gun shoot often involves some steel where a full choke is more effective than the cylinder bore these guns come with.

I got them from Carolina Shooters, here:

They work really well, I bought a short barrel for my grizzly that already had one installed that takes winchokes. No complaints from me aside from the fact that the barrel has no front sight, a red dot fixed my poa/poi issues and I’ll make a front sight post for it over the winter.

Good info. Do you have the Hatsan MPA-TS or the MP-TS? Have you tried shooting slugs with this modified choke?

Do you have the 18" or 20" barrel version?
What is the capacity of yours?
Have you ever experienced the two shell jam issue posted on the net in some places? Which require a disassembly to clear?

Kind thanks!

I don't recall the barrel length or mag capacity. When I first got it I did have some jams caused by the shell stop of the mag not stopping the second shell.

I returned it to Bell Distributing and they replaced the shell stop and it has been fine ever since.

You would only have to disassemble if you are painfully slow. Its not the end of the day if you fail to load the shell all the way into the mag tube. Happens to me sometimes when I ghost load it.

Awesome, thanks for the info and source!

I have a Hatsan as well, bought on a whim at a local store for a marked down price. I want to hate it because of the loading method, but the damn thing eats whatever I put in it, and it's pretty light. I have had it for two years now and only had one malfunction and has never been cleaned, only lubed. I swapped out the stock for a DA Grizzly stock with an adapter, I might pick up one of these choke adapters and see if I can find a mag extension to trick it out a bit.

Hey did you buy and have this shipped to Canada ?. Was there issue shipping here. Been looking for a choke for my mp as well. Something to help increase slug accuracey a little.

Carolina Shooters Supply will ship these to Canada. I ordered one of their chokes after seeing this thread and it came no problem.

I ended up getting a different one from Carolina Shooters Supply than the one the OP has. I installed it recently and noticed there's a noticeable gap between where the barrel ends and the choke tube begins. Is this OK to fire?
