Hey guys, anyone know a Canadian source that carries left handed Ruger American Predators in 6.5 Creedmoor? I can see that Ruger makes them, but haven't been able to find a source yet!
Thanks!

I bought mine from Prairie Gun Traders. I don't know if they still have stock, but if they do, they're fantastic to deal with.

Just checked and they are sold out. I think those were quick sellers for Ruger.

They're a bit more money than the RAP, but Prairie does have LH SS Tikkas in 6.5CM listed.

I just ordered myself a LH Predator in 7-08 1:8.5T from Nechako Outdoors

Yah, those guys are OK to deal with also. I guess. šŸ˜‹

The RAP in 7-08 should be fun to play with. Especially if it shoots like the other ones I’ve been around. It would have been nice if Ruger offered the newly expanded LH Predator line with the AICS magazines too.

Well at least they've been in Canada at some point! That gives me some hope that someone will have one back in stock before long. I checked all the above locations and they don't have any currently. I guess I'll just have to wait, or switch it up. I do know that a Tikka would be an option, but I would like to stick more around that Ruger price!

Just out of curiosity, what do the right handed Predators in 6.5 go for now? And what about the lefties...?

That's about what I was expecting, wondering to myself if a T3X is worth $200-300 more.

Well, in terms of accuracy, I'm very pleased with my Predator. I know others have complained loudly about how Americans (the rifles) of all stripes look and feel cheap and so are not worthy, but, in my experience it's been a very accurate rifle. I agree that the stock does feel cheap, but I'm not sure I'd be able to wring much more out of any other make in the accuracy department.

My RAP was ~$640, but everything has been going up.

It’s hard to swallow what the Tikkas sell for now, IMO. But, they always shoot well and mine, in 6.5CM, has been completely hassle free. Where my Ruger, tho super accurate, has a flakey magazine. So that’s worth something. They are both very accurate and easy to work up loads for.

You got yours for that price at Prairie Gun Traders? Wow; that's a good score. When did you get it? I got mine around Feb or March and from all appearances was the only one of it's kind in Canada...Prairie Gun Traders website was one of the ones I checked to see if anybody else had one.

Boy, I don't remember the date. I'd have to try dig up the receipt. It's coming up on 500 rounds, so been a little while.

I know they only had a few and they went very fast. I do remember being surprised that the LH wasn't a bunch more expensive than standard.

How does yours feed and function? Has your magazine been OK?

I've only had mine about 9 months and have 100-120 rounds through it; several different hand loads to see what it likes. So far, the accuracy has been excellent with no issues in regard to feed, function or the magazine.

Yessir. It's almost irritating sometimes, that such a low cost rifle shoots so well. Better than a bunch of other, more expensive ones in my history... :)

Thank you for the info. Much appreciated. I may contact Ruger and see what they have to say about the magazine.
