Does anyone in the GTA shoot a sphinx? I am interested, but would really like to try one first. If someone would let me try just a couple of shots. I have yet to come across anyone shooting one.

Cheers

I assume you mean sphinx pistol? The ones made in Switzerland and distributed by Kriss corp.

They are accurate pistols - was pinging steel gong at 50m at demo with a compact.

That is the one. Based on the CZ, but I think they are a bit lighter? They are out there, but not super popular.

one of the most acurate pistols i owned and i have a infinity 2011
loved it but i shoot IPSC and im in standart division so i had no need for it

Calgary Shooting Center is the Sphinx Distributor for Canada and they are the folks that you will need to speak to about a full-size Sphinx handgun. The Kriss USA- distributed Sphinx SDP "Compact" is much more readily available in gun stores across Canada. The SDP Compact is not really very compact, being dimensionally close to most full-sized handguns. It is every bit a Swiss Sphinx in terms of build quality. Advanced manufacturing techniques on the SDP productifon line save time and minimize waste, resulting in cost-savings passed on to the customer. Several grades of the SDP are offered, the highest being a steel slide and frame mated to an aluminum grip. The lower-cost models have a steel slide, aluminum frame and polymer grip. They run in the $1000 to $1300 price range new. My steel and aluminum model is extremely accurate and soft-shooting.

CSC also had the 3000 models for around $3k. They looked pretty neat. Would love to try one too.
