Optics for Stag 10.... what are people using?

Exactly. 3K+ would have been too much, but the current pricing has dropped the cost to just "unreasonable", as opposed to the prior "heart-attack-inducing" price.

Couldn't agree with you more. Considering these optics are made here in Canada, you would think that Elcan would want them to become a household name in Canadian optics and make the pricing a little more reasonable.

That FX1000 seems to be getting some favourable reviews indeed. Hmmmm
I have a new non illuminated Fx1000 on an AR and find the glass very clear and the FFP helpful, however the one negative is I prefer the turret zeroing which is more efficient on the P/M-308 models over the need for using a tool on Black I model. Having said that the Black series now has the zero stop built in which the others are lacking.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep my eye open for Boxing Day sales. I'm gonna mount the 10x40mm Elite Tactical on it for now but my old eyes really appreciate the magnification.

It's down to $1493.81 right now.

That's a great price for this optic. I'd buy it but I don't need another one.

Not bad at all. I paid a little less on BF sale in store.

It's down to $1457.38 today.

I've bought a few optics from Amazon at great prices. Usually when they get down to the last one in stock they keep dropping the price until it's gone.

I'm going to keep an eye on it to see how low it goes. It's getting close to a target price I have in mind and if it hits it I'm going to buy it regardless of if I need it or not.

I put a Vortex 3-15x44 Razor LH (Light Hunter) in Aero Precision cantiliver mount. Only because I couldn't find 1" rings the correct height that were lighter than the mount. I built my rifle as light as possible for hunting. That scope is perfect for that application. Whole rifle, optic, sling & bipod 8.4lb without a magazine.

i have had a couple low power 1-4 leupold and a primary arms 1-6 didnt like the glass on the pa and loved the leupold vxr but didnt like the reticle,it was a standard duplex with no subtension marks.with my 50 yr old eyes i needed a scope that will work on my macabbee and my stag for hunting and target.after a lot of research i opted for a vortex viper 1-6 by 24,its a great scope with great glass compact design and an illuminated dot in the riticle.the subtension marks in moa or millrad are very visible and the scope works perfect on an msr.i almost dropped the money on a razor but didnt find it worth the axtra thousand dollars.the viper sells for 899 but i found one new here for 775.check one out you may be impressed.

I took advantage of the recent Elcan prices too. I've always loved the SpecterDR 1x4.
