A CNC Operator

on the evening (11pm-7am) shift

Successful CNC applicant will have 3 to 5 years experience running CNC lathes. Candidates must be able to read and follow work instructions,
produce and measure parts using a variety of instruments and gauges while working to close tolerances.

I'm in the right end of the country, but lack CNC lathe experience.I don't imagine the pay scale would be over the top, but maybe you get a "family" discount on Colt merchandise.

You're probably right.Then I'd likely get fired for 'fondling 'the finish off of stuff before it got out the door.

Exactly. It's a CNC machine and your on a shift. Been there done that. It's production. Make a setup, program it, keep it running, check quality control at intervals, close the doors, turn it back on, go for a break. Repeat several times, while a supervisor watches you, then go home.
Tomorrow, you may do a different run, maybe not. Basic modern machinist/machine shop 101.
