Hi all , just cleaned loads of cosmoline out of a mosin and run in to a problem. Seem like its a common thing but cant find any solution in youtube. I was trying to remove front stock retaining spring and it broke off. No idea how to remove the bolt that is stuck inside , without damaging the wood. If anyone had that issue in the past, please share the solutions to fix the problem.Thanks

Find the hole on the other side, push out with dental pick, small finishing nail, etc.

It does seem to be a fairly common issue with these rifles alright, we have two here that had the same problem when taking them apart. I found a small pin punch worked well but as pointed out above just about anything around the same diameter works ok on them.

Yes it works, and was quite easy to do, now I need the front spring , do you guys know where to get that in Canada other than going on e bay?
