Has anyone ever loaded for an M1919A4
I know it shoots mx80cl 7.62 x 51 nato catridge.

I would love to find some great load data and specs on this.
Best powder.
Case specs etc etc.

Friend has one...I love to reload.
He says its finicky and the Federal mx80cl are only ammo it likes.
Well im up for it.
So any data Will help

hes got 1000's of 7.62x51 1F nato brass. I believe they had thicker walls than 308 win.

There are myriad loads that duplicate 7.62x51mm M80 ball ammo.

I have used Hornady 150 FMJ or Campro 147 FMJ bullets. Both are functional, the Campro seems to produce a couple flyers in every group but you likely won't notice that in 1919.

Winchester WLR or CCI-200 primers are fine.

43 Grains IMR4895 or H335 puts you pretty much spot on the spec velocity, which I think is 870m/s, working from memory.

Military brass would be a good choice. It is harder at the case head and better able to handle a violent extraction.
