Is your FX9 Reliable?

I have cleaned it and lubed it before each range trip. I am using factory Glock mags along with the one that came with the rifle (mag is made in S. Korea, can't recall the brand off the top of my head). And yet still lots of failures. Wondering if it needs a break-in period, or different ammo?

I’m using blazer 115 grain, it’s still malfunctioning even with the actual Glock mag? I had some aftermarket Korean mag and it didn’t work for me

Yes. I only get a couple of shots off, maybe 2,3 or maybe 6 or 7 and then there's a malfunction. The fired case fails to eject and gets caught up in the receiver as the bolt goes forward, causing a stove-pipe, and a new round from the mag is partly chambered.

How many rounds do you have through your gun?

Okay, sorry. I went and had a look. Like I said, it has been hard to keep count, but total round count through the gun is lower than I originally thought. It probably has 200-300 through it.

2 stove pipes on my first mag, then 100% reliable after that with reloads and factory 115 grain. I had some powder puff loads that I had tried in my cz with lighter springs installed. You could throw a bullet faster lol, still cycled

Absolutely the most fun I've ever had with a firearm. Trigger even started to get a little better after a couple hundred rounds.

Accuracy was better then I expected and about the same as my Ruger PCC. After firing both if I could only keep one it would be the fx 9. Have to admit the internets had me a bit worried about this purchase but man am I ever happy with it.

Has anyone here tried the Magpul Glock mags in their FX9? Looking at every possible thing that may be a problem (ammo, mags, gun oil being used) before coming to a conclusion.

I would try again with another mag because the exact same thing happened to me with the SGM mag

Yeah curious why the US 16" version seems to run flawlessly out of the box yet our version has an extended break in period?

Just a tighter machined batch? Could it be different spring force due to our pinned mags maybe pushing the bullet up into the bottom of the bolt too hard?

Who makes the longer barrels for these? I thought i read somewhere that the longer barrels for the Canadian market were outsourced and that was part of the reason they were delayed so long? I think that was the situation that happened with the Ruger PCC as well. Maybe tighter chambers if they were outsourced?

Has anyone tried 17 rnd magpul glock mags yet?

I plan on using the same ammo I use in my IPSC Classic pistol. 147gr RN Xmetal bullet over titegroup. Unless, I need to load hotter ammo to make it run more reliably. I'd hate to have to develop specific 9mm just for this gun. I plan on adding a Hiperfire Hipercomp from Maple Ridge Armoury to it so if I do need hotter ammo so be it.

My Glock mags are not the 10/17 pinned ones. The Glock mags that I have are 10/10 Glock round mags.
