Just bought the Kodiak on CGN and have to be somewhat impressed, it's not an 870 but performs well and will be great for back packing in Griz country with my bow.

It came with 3 chokes but would anyone know if 870 choke tubes fit? The reason I ask is that I think Norinco makes the shotgun and wondering if the barrel threads might be metric?

the grizzley chokes are standard invector/winchoke style...really common and cheap. not sure about the kodiak, its not an 870 clone though, not sure which you have from the title.
 
That’s a DA Kodiak, the Grizzly is a different shotgun they used to sell. As to chokes canam says Mobil chokes in the description in the add.

“Comes with interchangable chokes, IC, M, F Mobil”, google Mobil chokes to see what else is available if the three it came with don’t pattern well for you.
 
The 3 choke tubes that came with it are notched

1 is .680
2 is .700
3 is .720

I know it only has the 12.5" barrel but I'm looking for something that could handle 00 buckshot with a decent pattern at 30 yards. I have the .720 in the shotgun right now and shot it the other day with a fairly decent pattern but when out weather improves I am going to try the .700 from my Googling it looks like a full choke is a no no as the pellets possibly get deformed passing through the choke?

Probably can't expect much from the shorter barrel, I Googled Carlsons and this is what I found, their Buckshot choke tube measures .695 which is close to my #2 @ .700 so that's why i will give my #2 a try.
