Hi all,

I'm heavily leaning towards purchasing a magwedge adapter along with as many LAR mags as I can as a holiday treat and out of paranoia that the Liberals will end up amending certain loopholes that we have come to know.

I am wondering if anyone has experience with the actual work that needs to be done on the receiver in order to allow the magwedge to fit properly. I do not own a machine shop and i have seen videos on youtube of people doing the bulk of the milling out with a drill and then go in with a dremmel or files to clean it up. I have done the drop free mod with a dremmel without any issues but I am looking on some input before taking a drill to my receiver.

I have thought about contacting the vender that i would be using to purchase the adapter (hi-cal.ca) as i believe they offer the service for a fee where i could ship out my barrel\receiver and they would fit the adapter for me. Im looking for input on how easy it is with your general power tools.

Any input or shared experiences would be great.

Happy holidays!

HiCal does a nice job, I had 3 SKS rifles done by them and all worked very well. I thought about doing it myself but no way it would have turned out as nice :)

Did you just disassemble and ship it to hical to modify or do you live somewhat locally and brought it in? Thanks for the input !
