I wish they would make something like this in a heavier .224 Dia bullet. Their hunting bullets only go up to around 65gr.
The 69 Match has been a popular deer bullet. Good penetration.

As for powder choice, I have found RL17 to be a good one so far with Hornady 129gr SST in my 6.5CM. Should hopefully hold the same for the 130 SGC and I have been told it has.
Sierra is finally producing a tougher bullet for hunting - but it still isn't bonded. Sierra bullets are notorious for core separation at close ranges. When hunting, not all shots are taken at extended ranges. I love Sierra accuracy, but I think they missed the boat on this one.
My T-3 CTR averaged right around .5 moa with H4350 and the gamehangers, but R-17 averaged right around .4moa for five shots, at around 75fps more velocity. I could likely work up the load a bit more, but being on the mild side, will extend the case and barrel life.
I tried R-17, and shot this five shot group today at 110 yards, since our range is metric. It measures .355" center to center.
Accuracy doesn't get better than that!
I'm shooting 42.0grs for 2750 fps from Tikka CTR
6.5mm Sierra 130gr TGK. Come on RJ, pay attention!

I am running 43.5gr at 2825fps, at around 0 degrees, but the loads were likely not cooled to ambient temperature when I measured the velocity. I expect around 2850fps at 20 degrees. The groups were all 1/2moa or better, but they tightened slightly as the velocity was increased.
Look at how the cores squeezed out of these!

How many million big game animals do you suppose have been killed with lead core bullets, that were not bonded? You NEED a lead core bullet to be bonded or it will come apart ! jmo RJ
