Hello All,

I was recently at a gun store (shall not be named), checking out some rifles and saw an X95, it looked slightly different than my X95 that I had previously sold and was told by the staff member that it was the new Gen of X95, which supposedly fixed the "accuracy" issues. Is there any truth/merit to this or is it just gun store talk?

Dunno. This is the first I have heard of it. Google makes no mention of a updated version. Also the X95 doesn't have accuracy problems. Its shoots as well as it was designed to do. The only accuracy problems the X95 has is people putting unrealistic expectations on the design.

When I looked it up, this is what I was able to google:https://www.ar15.com/forums/Armory/Tavor-X95-accuracy-problems-/43-490597/

But wanted to check with you guys.

I sold my original X95 as it wasn't giving me the accuracy I expected and almost bought this one.

You sure it is not Tavor 7? I doubt it hit any store yet. But that's the Tavor has problem in terms of accuracy at the moment.

this i know-the last shipment of x95 to canada had the curved handle and t\a different bolt carrier tube--no cut out-the one everyone had problems with disassembling since the rod wouldn't go out enough to remove the bolt-eventually it did as it was tight---they commonized the blackout bolt carrier...that info (bolt carrier commonization)came right from Israel...

I had an X95 when they first came out and was disappointed with the accuracy so I must admit I got very excited.

I read the words
They look English
But I have absolutely no idea what you are saying.

if you have a tavor you would totally understand---curved charge handle?ok then no cut in the bolt carrier spring tube?kool ---bolt carrier support rod tight going into the rear polymer support--still with me?556 bolt carrier had cut out on the charge spring tube but the 300 did not-thus all new ones had the 300 bolt carrier-which were almost same as 556--hope this helped--pics??lol

I have a tavor, yes. Had it for about 5 years, I know THAT platform very well.

I dont have an x95, hence I don't know that particular platform.

I am thinking about getting an X95, but I am worried about the 4-5 moa groups. My Tavor shoots 1.3 moa with hornady. That accuracy downgrade makes me wonder about getting another Tavor instead of an X95. So this thread about making the x95 accuracy better is interesting.

That's why I'm interested in this post.

I know the newer ones have updated triggers with lower weight of pull and I know that helps with accuracy as the original was quite heavy pull.
Not having any accuracy issues with my x95

my x95 is decent in accuracy-as in 1.5-2- moa---about par to my sar21-cheers

X95 and tar/sar 21 tavors on average have similar accuracy. There is no true gen 2 x95s to my knowledge. There seems to be a charging handle update as mentioned. The rest is news to me.

I tried 77gr Sierra Match Kings in a friend's X95 and had ~ 1.5 MOA with that. Lighter bullets had larger groups but heavier ones were quite acceptable.

Just recently sold my x95, after three years of use.
I purchased it with the intent to use for predator control. At that it excelled, all I needed it for was the first couple of shots. After the barrel heated up had some significant dispersion issues. The only reason I got rid of it was this issue, it was embarrassing missing after you put a mag or three through it.
If this issue was fixed that changes things. Will have to save up some money again, it was a hard thing to sell my x95......everything about it just worked other than the dispersion issue.

I don't know of any "Gen 2" variant either. Great rifle, albeit WAY too expensive for what you get.

ok -show me a rifle with the same reliability that's cheaper---all Canadian rifles in this category are about same price unless you buy Chinese or some unproven knock off--want a great 556 rifle like Alberta tactical then shell out 4 plus k--unfortunately the name of the game in this country is the price associated with upper end non-rest rifles---all have some issues but reliability is everything to me--if it fails its no good...
