I’m on the hunt for a higher #9 front sight post for my CZ 527. CZ-USA has them but they don’t ship to Canada. I have emailed some site sponsors but they also have difficulty bringing it in. Any ideas as to who or how to track down CZ rifle parts. For the record the higher front sight post is for a rear peep and the aftermarket front sights available from NECG are rather wide.

CZ will ship direct from home factory in Ceck Republic or they did about a year ago for my front site.

Wide, within reason, is good. Use the front sight as you would a scope's cross hair; the flat top provides an index of elevation liker the horizontal cross hair, and the eye is attracted to the center-line of a wide front sight more readily than the center-line of a narrow front sight.

A receiver sight sits significantly higher relative to the center-line of the bore than an open sight that is mounted on the barrel, making the factory front sight height unsuitable, your shots would land hopelessly high using the factory front sight. Even with the high Patridge front sight, I had to shorten the aperture shank and screw the aperture nearly to the bottom of the housing with my NECG receiver sight.
I had a necg partridge front sight but it’s too wide. The factory front is far too low. .190” But a number 9 Cz sight .241 would be where I need to be. The necg is .375 I believe. But can be shortened. Just takes up way to much sight picture. I think I have to order from Cz-USA and have a middle man ship it up to me. Cz parts in the EU is out of stock.
