Hey guys,

Anyone deal with this company before? They look like a veteran owned and operated Canadian company. Sent em a email like two weeks ago and haven't heard back, just wondering if their still in business

I haven’t dealt with them personally but I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews about them. Great product but poor customer service, like sending the wrong holster and then not covering the shipping to send the wrong one back and send the correct one, poor communications, poor handling of criticism, etc. Again just what I’ve heard from people, never any issues with the products themselves, take that FWIW.

Their products are ok, seem like of home made but functional I guess. The rumours of their customer service are true. I had a safety issue with an exposed trigger when holstered that was dismissed and no amicable solution was found.

Heard nothing but bad about Highlander, not the product,,the owner. Do yourself a favour and purchase a Solely Canadian holster,, site sponsor and CGN supporter, and the best holsters in Canada hands down.

Bingo, highlander is an arrogant turd and that’s enough for me to avoid the guy. A quick search and you’ll find plenty of reviews on here regarding his piss poor service and meh quality products.

Tim at SolCan is the best of the best in Canada.
In a world of skeevy business owners, Tim shines above the rest and is probably one of the most genuine dudes I’ve ever dealt with.
Have been buying his holsters since the beginning and it’s great to have watched his business and product grow.

Highlander tactical...They're arrogant, and have poor business ethics. They will sit on social media and slag more successful, businesses and their products. And go on like their is the #### and much better. There are a few business I follow. S&J, Lockhart Tactical, Highlander Tactical. All have common trait. I guess when you're non combat arms ( weapon tech ) or a reservist. Going with the viking trend is kinda like riding the whatever is popular pony.

I've been waiting a considerable amount of time for a custom order from Highlander Tactical and now can't even get a reply to my messages to find out the status of this order? No happy!

I bought two holsters and sets of mag pouches from Solely Canadian several years ago. Extremely happy with these purchases. Fit and finish are good. Been using them for IPSC and 3 gun so they have had a bit of use with no issue. Wish I could get some holsters for some of my more unique guns from Solely Canadian.

Hes too busy making useless Tactical Skoal tin holsters. Or searching the internet, trying to find pictures of someone using his gear.

Proof below that people can be both arrogant, and stupid.
I won’t deny, me and the guys had a great laugh at his expense.

i tried to order from them before when Tim @ solely canadian didn't have the mold for my gun. Dickhead had it listed, asked him to add a light to the mold and i will order it and send him all my info. Gotten a reply few days later smart mouthing saying no one needs a light for their pistol.

From that day on, everytime i get a new holster from Tim or from safariland, i sent him a picture of it and said it could have been your income.

Arrogant is when you have the knowledge and background to back your shxt up. #### head is when you are a mall ninja trying to do tactical shxt and run a tactical holster business in your basement.

OP: go safe with Tim @ Solely Canadian. You will get a quality made holster that will last thru more than you can put it thru and you will put money in the pockets of someone who really cares about his customers and the products he puts out.

I use it for fun and I use it for work.

Just a quick update for anyone else following, I sent solely Canadian an email, had a response this morning! Now that's service! He doesn't have the mold for the gun I want so we are figuring that out but all in all I'm looking forward to sending him some cash!

I made a last minute order with highlander tactical for a few holsters and he rushed the order for me. I had pretty good customer service and communication. The quality worked for me and what I expected for the price I paid and it being made in someone's basement or oven (not a jab).

While I had a really good experience I have seen a lot of complaints and poor social media stuff. Probably spends too much time on social media but not in a productive way.

Soley Canadian rushed an order I had (costed extra, highlander didn't charge). Probably about the same quality and great communication.

Soley Canadian seems to take the business more serious.

Make sure you periodically check the tightness of the screws if you buy from highlander (though I suspect it's true for any home produced holster). I had mine come apart with a loaded pistol inside.
