New Glock 48 coming in January?

FWIW, the pictures of the guns are apparently fake. The specs may be real but the pictures are not, or so some on the Internet say. I'm waiting to see what is announced at SHOT 2019. Interested in the G48.

I am very interested in this. I love single stack pistols, they align better in my hands vs. double stack. I found even though the Glock 43 was lighter, I preferred it to my Glock 19 and my 5' tall, 90 lb wife had no problems controlling the recoil, she found the slim frame allowed her to get a better grip on the gun.

10 rounds in a semi staggered magazine in a platform about the same width of the G43 is just icing on the cake.

It will print similarly to a custom round butt 1911 Commander. The few mms in girth won't make much difference. It's the length of the grip that matters. But I agree, the matter is moot in Kanada.

I think it would make a difference in terms of appendix carry or six o'clock carry. It really depends, but yeah, you nailed it with the Commander 1911 comparison.

Mainly, to me this looks like competition for the SD9VE. Also I see it doesn't have ambi slide stops, so it might be based on the Gen 3, making it sale-legal in California.

Weight matters, and a person wearing a steel-frame Commander will suffer greatly (compared to their experience wearing a G19).

Wonder if there's a new G43 Gen5 in the works too, given the G43X and G48 are rumoured to be announced in shot show 2019.

I think the 106mm was for us actually, saves the the trouble of making the probably pain in the ass Canadian run* lol. Good for them tho!

*Since they have done that with a Glock 19x and Canadian g19
