I really dont know which one. The trigger on the Savage is nice and the thumbhole stock feels great. However the Marlin feels really good to. I really like the fluted barrel. Is the trigger that good on the Marlin ?
Thanks.

i bought a marlin 917vs and it shoots great, the trigger is heavy stock like 7lbs. i swaped out a spring from a pen and now its about 2lbs.

some 50 yard shooting the middle dime i hit three times and that a empty 17hmr case on the right

Those are nice shooting rifles. My CZ will run right with them, if not slightly better! However, the trigger on it needed a touch (Brooks style) as well. Other than that it is just a great shooting 17HMR. Regards, Eagleye.

I haven't found that accuracy with my Savage synthetic, but it's coming along. I've found it groups the 20grn better than the 17grn.

How much of a difference would the heavier laminate stock make over the synthetic?

Regards
Ryan

Eagle eye which Cz rifle do you have, A good CZ 452 in the varmint model will do well and they look good to. But alas it has the Czech sloppy trigger but i manage it
