Honest question, and this is coming from someone with a couple of the WK-180C ordered, but has never handled an AR180 type rifle. Are you blown away with the fact it's non-restricted only or would this hold a candle to an M&P Sport 2 or PSA PA 15 head to head?

Depends on your view from where you are standing.
If you are staning on a range, it holds its' end fair and fine.
If you are out in the woods, it holds you from going to the penitentiary.

My vid is live. Quality will get better once youtube finishes its magic. It should help curb the urge for those waiting. I didn't work hard on it, but I'm not getting paid to do it either :p

A lot of songs from artists are copyrighted on utube. That's why if u are using a song from an band like say CCR, ud be wise to search the copyright restrictions in utubes directory. It may be banned in Germany, and Australia, but not in North America.

OR even better yet, use FREE songs from utubes audio library and avoid the stress of copyright all together!

On another note i'm glad you love the rifle. As asked by others I wonder if it's as good as the s&w mpii stock to stock config. (i have a wk in the mail can't wait to try it out)

As far as gas block/handguard being in contact would bubbalicious mr.dremel with the help of a sandpaper wipe take care of it ? Not sure how much impact the contact between both pieces affect the rifle precision...

Stoner designed the AR-180/AR-18 as a replacement for the AR-15/M-16 design. It's simpler and cheaper to build and is a very reliable design. The AR-15 will have an accuracy advantage if both were fitted with equal barrels but since I have piston rifles that are capable of 1 MOA or better I doubt the differences in accuracy are going to be enough for most average shooters to notice during regular field shooting and only measurable if shooting from the bench which is not what either rifle was designed to do.

This site has some good info and history of the rifle.

Wasn't the ar180 designed for countries who couldn't make the AR? Stamping #### is much easier and cheaper than machining, and not all countries have the industry to deal with machined receivers.

Correct.
In the early sixties the cost to machine was really high.
Anyone remember the FN FAL.
All machined by setting up hundreds of special jigs for each machining operation.
The cost of stamping was almost totally involveved in creating the appropriate dies.
Once the dies were made, the cost dropped dramatically with production.

By the mid nineties, surplus and used cnc machines were becoming available at relatively cheap prices.
If you can program, you can cnc machine for less cost that a stamping and probably to higher tolerances too.
Suddenly stamping is costly in comparison.

If you want to be happy for the rest of your life, never make a pretty woman your wife.
If you want my personal point of view, get an ugly girl to marry you.

Say man, I saw your wife the other day... 'She uuuglyyyyy....
Yeah, she ugly but she sure can cook baby...

Even today stamping could be cheaper, but the volume required wouldn't work for most.

Or even better yet, don't add music to vids at all. I'm not watching vids to see what type of music the guy likes, I want to hear the gun, or the car, or the motorcycle.
It's just like the guy at the red light with the car stereo cranked, no one else wants to hear it.

True, but in moments of narration and review etc. At little background music helps to cover up things people hate even more then just music.

I need that scope mount. I put the same stock on that you have but I couldn't get my scope far enough forward to get the correct eye relief. I've got a similar mount on order. When it arrives I'll mount it to my WK, put the MOE stock back on and try again.

I like the blocky look, it seems more masculine to me. Same with cars, sleek is girly :) Gotta go for the rugged tough stuff.
Also, aesthetics are purely subjective.

Anybody know of any plans in the future to bring this out in other calibers?

It would make a nice NR semi auto deer rifle in 6.8 SPC or 6.5 Grendal.
