Hello everyone, im wondering for the guys who have NVGS be it PVS-14, PVS-15, DTNVG and PVS-31s, where you got them from. I ask as I'm sure I have missed a few stores in canada that sell them. Or legally importing a set from the us. Any help would be great. Im not worrying about price atm, just looking for details and sights. I know about GSCI and not to deal with them. Cheers

For Canadian stores, Tactical Imports has a bit, and same with Brandon Optics and Scout Base Camp.

If it is DTNVG you are looking for, I suggest ActInBlack out of Luxembourg. While they no longer have their gear available for sale quick and easy online, they are a quality company, and their gear is absolutely top notch. The price reflects that, as well.

Getting anything of quality out of the USA is either very difficult, or impossible, without going off side of ITAR.

Yes you are very correct on the ITAR part. Makes things a major pain in the butt. I'm in the states often for work and would love to grab some while down there, but I can find better ways to get myself arrested lol. Actinblack have been just the price sucks when you convert over. And it sucks before our govt gets there hands on them for tax lol.

I'd recommend Act In Black out of luxemburg. Very expensive, but I've managed to check out a DTNVG housing of theirs, very high quality. The tubes are good quality and far better than Armasight or GSCI can get. Not cheap by any means though. If you are deadset on US made NVGs there are a ton of them forsale second hand in Canada on various forums. Most of the guys selling are reputable and know what they sell. No warranty typically but for the most part they are very durable devices.

I was on Amazon.ca and it looks like thermal scopes are easy to get. The price is alot higher than the americans pay.
So I wonder now if these are coming from a country other than the US. Anyone have any experience getting thermals from Amazon?

I have a hand held thermal and it's fun to play with. Got it for work which was nice to write it off. I bought a digital mono from Amazon a few years back and now the kids play with it.

A lot of times they just show up on the Canadian website. They will not, however, ship to you, as you aren't an American living in America. It's quite annoying, as they show up as a buyable product, and then won't deliver once you get to checkout... some Pulsar stuff is available on Amazon for an OK price and it will ship. However you can get the same stuff from a site sponsor for pretty well the same coin.

Why would you not deal with GSCI?

Why would you not deal with GSCI?

They ask premium prices that would get you a great performance set up from Europe or US but give you subpar tubes and optics. Their “gen 3” tubes are more comparable to gen 2+ by almost all standards. Comparing us issue ANVIS-9 to the top of the line GSCI PVS-31 was like comparing a Ferrari to a Honda Civic. The GSCI just couldnt compete, at 3 times the price too. It’s better than nothing but I would never pay that much for the performance delivered.
