Someone needs a slap upside the head with a frozen salmon, for the laser 'decorating' they have done on those otherwise nice pieces of wood.

Now, I'd be willing to put up with a whole lot, if that MTR was available with real locking lugs and a Hornet chambering!
 
If you look on the CZ web site there are pictures of every model of 457 pics show both sides of each rifle. None of the pics on there have this engraving on the stock.

I bought mine with the intent of putting it in a KRG Bravo stock. Lots of people build cf rifles with no criticism or complaints. Rimfire seems different for some reason.
 
50 yard groups, put it in the 1/2 inch challenge with the first 35 rounds out of the rifle, 5 in the dirt to rough site the scope, 5 on paper to fine tune the scope, and 25 into a target to meet the requirements of the challenge. I've tried this with the Tikka T1X and have surpassed 600 rounds with no luck what-so-ever..........

CZ should offer a discount in exchange for the advertising on the stock. Otherwise, it looks pretty sharp.

Wow. that was fast, great shooting.
 
Tikka T1x is typical of the Sako/Tikka lineup. metalwork is flawless, and they put plastic wherever they can to cut corners. the bolt/receiver fitment on mine is almost but not quite interference fit. no discernible movement fore/aft when locked up or side to side whether open or locked up. inside the barrel is pretty much gem quality looking through a Lyman borescope. the only really interesting design in the rifle is the firing pin, it has quite a stout spring, and a two piece arrangement. I can only surmise this is why the company was having trouble with the launch date, they must have been having trouble breaking firing pins and they were forced to design a two piece system to withstand the extra force of the spring. waiting on a picatinny rail from Kinney's. actually a very good rivalry between Tikka and CZ, I happen to like both brands and the winner is the consumer.
