BCL102 short stoking whit new barrel

Hi, i installed a maple ridge 18.5 in barrel whit a rifle length gas tube since then the rifle is short stroking i have tested m80 ball, heinteber ,180 rem lock core, 167 norma match, the bolt dont pick up the next round or lock open on the last round ...
manual rifle operation are good i have 1/8 past the bolt catch nothing bind the gas block is aligned and the port is .096.
i use a h1 carbine buffer and spring in a rifle length tube whit a spacer.

any idea what cause the short stroke?

The fact that BCL made it?? lol

Get a Stag and don't look back.

I'm all for holding a manufacturer to account, but in this specific case we are discussing a rifle that's been modified from original & you're choosing to mock BCL for that? IMHO that's unfair.

To the op, have you compared the gas port in each barrel? Curious if there is a size difference... If the new barrel has a smaller gas port hole drilled, then it's short stroking due to less gas...

BCL barrel is .070 the new barrel 0.960 bcl barrel is a carbine length and the new on rifle length

what would be the issue whit the gas port ? to big or to small? it seam to be in spec according to the chart 18" rifle 0.308 0.0960

If the gas block is lined up properly try and remove some of the weights from the buffer until it locks back on an empty mag.

Silly question but did your physically measure the gas port or you read it from the manufacturer's specs?

measure it whit pin gauge its actually .0958 i dont think .0002 will make a huge impact on the rifle

In that case, maybe the buffer spring is on the heavy side and needs a few coils chopped?

i will try reducing buffer weight first and if that doesnt work i will try reducing the spring length

the rifle is not over gas so i doubt it will solve the issue

Did you lube the #### out of it? I had my stag 10 out last night to test fire as it is a new build and it was short stroking and jamming. My buddy grabbed the oil handed it to me and I doused the BCG and it ran perfectly after that, needs to run quite wet while breaking it in I guess

yes i have lube the rifle but whit -25 weather i dint over lube the gun

You should've put an adjustable gas block on.

I don't think that would help since he's already running wide open.

I would start chopping off coils on the spring rather than reduced weight on a buffer.

i can borrow some different weight buffer from a friend it easy and not a permanent solution if the rifle still short stroke ill cut some coils
