Need a Hunting Org. COHA? Others?

I am in Ontario and use to be a member of OFAH. However, I have issues supporting OFAH and have not been a member for some years now. I am interested in continuing my support of hunting and general outdoor usage. I am a member of CSSA and NFA among other specialty groups.

I was at the Woodstock gun show and picked up a pamphlet from COHA. Can anyone confirm that this a group worth supporting? I am looking for a group that will not conform to the political thinking of the day and will truly have the interests of conservationists and hunters in mind. Like reinstating the Spring Bear hunt, handgun hunting, and opening up the unlimited wolf hunting in areas the populations can handle it.

If this turns into a rant against OFAH, I hope the mods will lock this down. I am specifically interested in COHA and any other orgs that might support my line of thinking.

Thanks

Sure, make ME work on a sunday, ya bugger :)

I figured as a mod, you would refrain from making extraneous frivolous comments that fail to answer in any way the question at hand.:p:p:owned:

What, are you new here or something?!?:p:p:p

(actually, it's just a fast and easy way to tag the thread so i can watch the responses in case it DOES turn into a slagfest.) :)

I'm actually kinda curious what people have to say about COHA.

Why would you be interested in the "Council on Hemispheric Affairs"? or is it the "Canadian Oil Heat Association"....

Just joking... You didn't specify, but I assume you mean the "Canadian Outdoor Heritage Alliance". I personally have never heard of them, so I can't give much more than humorous input. I support OFAH as they are an Ontario based organization which is where I live, fish, & hunt.

Was at the Woodstock Show today as well, I read the articles in their "Paper", seemed interesting enough. I am interested in what other people have to say about them as well.

Sorry, I have nothing useful to add to this thread!

www.coha.net This site seems to be a bit out of date but the newspaper I picked up today was current. (Summer 2007) They seem to be an outgrowth of the failure of some other orgs to prevent or impede the cancellation of the spring bear hunt in Ontario. Not to sure what they are but I am interested to say the least.
