XCR upgrades

The XCR is the only rifle ever made that doesn't need upgrades...

Pretty much, the only reason mine is for sale is because I rarely shoot it and have a couple other itches to scratch. But if we had common sense firearms legislation (no R/NR nonsense) I would certainly own the mini or micro version, they are the ideal SBR and are built like a brick sh!t#ouse.

There’s one on the EE now with the 16” US barrel for a good price. It is one sweet looking and unusual XCR. The 16” barrel makes it look totally proportional. Too bad it’s restricted.

The XCR-L is indeed a fantastically built firearm. The ergonomics are spectacular. I will only be upgrading the trigger.

I liked the one I had but I think the ACR is a better rifle. That being said, I liked it enough that if the right deal came up on one I'd buy another.
You can never have too many nice rifles :)

There is a new version of extractor spring. The old gen is just a piece of solid rubber type material that holds the extractor in place. The new version is a set of two steel springs nested together. You should also look at the new 'omni' brass deflector that works with all calibres.

Both my L and M have very smooth let offs you just take up slack and feel the wall and I hey just break smooth and crisp:)

Even my older one had a decent trigger, I wouldn't bother with a trigger upgrade, they aren't the most accurate rifle out there, you'd be better off buying better glass or just more ammo.
Sometimes you don't need to "upgrade" stuff and in the case of the XCR there really isn't much you can or need to do. If you really want to upgrade it have a quality barrel built for it. Other than that you're more just changing things than actually upgrading.
Just my opinion but I really don't see much gain from dropping a bunch of money on stuff for the XCR. It is what it is and if it's not what you want you'd be better off selling it and buying something else than trying to modify it to make it something it's not.

Aside from upgrading the crappy stock to an ACR stock, and swapping out the flash hider, I haven't felt the need to 'upgrade' either of my XCRs. Triggers are quite good, ergonomics are great.... what's not to like? Though I agree with CR5.... the ACR is better :)
