So after walking past it on several occasions, I bought that $50 Costco LED light. The one that looks like an old florescent 4ft one. Hung it up over my reloading bench and it is very bright. No shadows anymore. Wish I would have bought is sooner.

Got one over my lathe and one over my workbench/desk. Were $41 from amazon.ca when I bought them in Nov. 2017 - I see they are like $52 today. Absolutely what my 60+ year old eyes need!!

Agree - I was wondering about my Lyman 1200 DPS 3, but whatever it reads is the same as when I put it on my Hornady balance beam, so I don't think there is a problem?

I'm no electronic engineer but I would think LED lighting would be less likely to cause interference with other devices than the florescent style with humming ballasts and flickering tubes.
I should seriously consider picking up one or two of these.

I picked up several old bathroom strip fixtures at a local Re store. The kind that held 6 or 8 incandesent bulbs. Installed screw in LED bulbs (alternated std LED and par 20 LED ) and they work great. Have install them over the loading bench, in the garage in the shop. @ $5 a piece its hard to beat them

I'm still using a regular old style incandescent light bulb that clamps to the desk, its on a flexible shaft so I can aim it where I need to. Its always worked well for me, so I'll probably leave it until it breaks someday.
