Modern Sporter - Build Discussions

I’m now thinking I might need to change my optic.
I currently have a VX3i 4.5-14x50 LRP TMR mil reticle.

I was thinking I might sell that and go with a 1-8-24.

So what’s out there in the 1-8 that has clear glass and a fine reticle?
I’m looking to spend a $1000 ish :)

I need a fine reticle for precision.. ha ha
If I aim for the center of the toonie, I want to hit the center of the toonie. Lol

Heck, I haven't got the slightest clue what my pile of parts will weigh in at.

#1 it's gotta work good
#2 it's gotta look good
#3 it's first production run so I can rub it in to the people who didn't take the plunge
