B.C. man who left moose to suffer before death is convicted, fined in court

Fined, the price have a lifetime ban on hunting and at least an automatic minimum 5 year ban on firearms ownership/possession.

I'm of two minds on this. Sounds like a guilty conscience. He did report, albeit after an animal needlessly suffered. So. Does this fine dissuade others from reporting, or promote it?

The RIGHT thing to do is finish the animal off..harvest the meat..write self reporting on your tag
Then stop at the Kelowna CO's office on their way home..which they litterly drove right by it
No responsible and humane hunter would do anything less..

I just reread the local news on this.. After the perp shot the moose and left it wounded..He and his buddy returned a hour later
and still never finished it off
