Designed for the user that expects more from their rifle, the DELTA 5 provides the ultimate long range shooting experience from the day its purchased. No custom wait time required.

INTEGRAL PILLARS: Integrated as part of the bottom metal and allows for metal contact to the mini chassis and action. More rigid plus eliminates humidity and temperature concerns, which allows for uniform performance in all weather conditions.

INTEGRAL RECOIL LUG : Integral to the action instead of a separate piece sandwiched between the action and barrel for consistent, superior performance. The shoulder also extends 360 degrees to provide a bedding surface for the scope base, thus not allowing the scope to move during recoil.

I just don’t see how DD is going to get a winner out of this. At 2800-3000 you can get much better than this.

I mean really.

Remington 700 factory 6.5 barreled action threaded: 700 new
KRG Bravo chassis: 525 new
MDT 10 round magazine: 80 new
Trigger tech special: 250 new

Call it 1550 plus tax for something comparable. Is a quick change barrel system that is likely going to require proprietary barrels and a 60 degree throw worth 1300 dollars more?

As a DD fanboy, no way in hell would I ever buy this for $2800-3000. What the hell are they thinking....

Don't get me wrong I love the details but as mentioned above I'd drop $1100 on a Rem 700 Magpul and spend the remainder on ammo
I'm sure these will sell as new stuff always does lol

Easy "no-brainer" barrel change sounds very appealing. Which other bolt action rifle can you do that with? None that I remember. This DD sounds like one ultimate bolt action to replace all others. Buy a few extra spare barrels and you're set for life.

Or just buy 3 rifles for the same price as one and a few barrels... Why bother switching calibers when you can switch guns for cheaper?

Considering that the interchangeable barrels will be proprietary to DD, what’s the advantage? As others said, the barrels are going to cost as much as a second rifle.
Not to mention, the return to zero issues that I guarantee will be problematic at best. And another thing. Why is a cold hammer forged barrel a desirable thing? Is this bolt action capable of sustained automatic fire?

The Delta5 seems comparable to the Tikka T3X Tac A1 in price and specs. Hopefully, the price comes down a bit to be more competitive.

As a DD fan boy, I'm happy to see them break into the market. Pricing is high, but I'm certain there is good reason.

You'd have to assume that the quality of the DD barrel and action is much higher than your typical Remington 700 (which, these days, is basically sh!t). Still, nearly $3,000 is a lot of money for what is basically a run of the mill bolt action rifle.

This sounds over priced and gimmicky to me. How often does someone change caliber? Just buy a savage and you can change caliber at home with basic tools. For that price you can get all the tools and a few barrels and bolt faces.

Agreed with other comments pricing is gonna make this a tough pill to swallow, just doesn't make sense for what's being offered here.

Barrel life and average consistancy is better with chf barrels. And current remington offerings shoot like #### so not really a comparable at your mentioned price point. You need to at least factor in the cost of getting the action worked and chucking in a bartlein barrel or something. And you still don't have the caliber conversion kit.

If you don't need the caliber conversion kit I say forget this and forget the ####ty lemington and get a tikka ctr and forget the rest.

But if you wanted to do a 308 and 6.5 but dont have the money to play in the kraken, axmc, mrad etc rarified air this is a great option.
