Just wondering if anyone owns or tried a Colt 1911 A1 Gold Cup 22lr made by Walther. I currently have a Browning 1911 in 22lr but it is too small and does not have adjustable sights so was thinking about getting this. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Overall, its a great pistol.

The only thing I don't like is the loose slide/frame fit but that's not really a problem because its a fixed barrel.
It also help to be reliable with *lower* velocity ammo.

I will do a trigger job on mine.

Bought one Tuesday this past week. Waiting on paperwork now.

Shot my buddy's a couple weekends ago, felt nice in my big hands. Didn't feel quite right without the mag in it, finish seemed ok. Nothing to write home about.

Seems easy to clean. Not sure if regular 1911 aftermarket part/grips will interchange or not. (?)

Picked one up last week, took it to the range today. Put 300 rounds through it. What an awesome little gun. Feels exactly like my 45's ,great practice gun. Only had 3 ftf's . I think the round hit the ramp a little crooked, racked the slide and away it went again. Had to adjust the sights a bit but it settled in really good. Trigger pull is a little heavy 6.5 to 7 lbs but you can do the same trigger job you would on any 1911. It most likely will lighten up after a 1000 or so rounds.I recommend cci mini mags. It really liked them. I did read that hoppes 9 will damage the finish.

Get one, you wont regret it, every pistol shooter should have one.

How loose is it?
The barrel is fixed to the frame, which I prefer over the GSG set screw, but the sights are on the slide.

I guy I work with just got one, and already has to send it back as it is not working.
Are these not just a "re-branded" GSG for more money?

What isn't working? I know they can be finicky with what ammo you use. The walther colt is quite different than the gsg so no they are not a rebrand gsg. Would be curious to find out what issues he had with it.

I have a couple of the walther colts, rail gun and gold cup. I really like them, I use them a lot and think they work well.

Broken ejector or extractor and slide binding.

Nope, not at all I have a Colt and I had a GSG at the same time and it's apples to oranges, the Colt is a much better built and shooting gun than the GSG.
