Picked up a new Savage MKII, can't get the bolt out......

Tricky 22 bolts to remove and replace back in receiver:

Winchester model 52

Remington 541 since when putting back in receiver you have to get the bolt rotated just right so the ejector lines up with the groove in the receiver bottom

And I have both and have cursed them both.......but their accuracy makes up for it. :)

If you ever find the bolt won't come out that way, push the bolt forward just a little bit and then try pulling the trigger. With use the bolt stop on the bolt can peen and allow the bolt to travel too far. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of.

Another PITA bolt is on my Enfield .303. Need to flip the piece on the end. Cant do it with a fingernail, I use an old spoon that I have in my cleaning supply box.

I picked up this Savage on a whim and since it was cheap. Going to add a small scope of some kind and I'm gong to add my dads old leather sling and teach my son about gun safety and to learn how to shoot it. Lookout soup cans, were coming for you!

Now that is just plain mean Kamlooky, and way beneath your standards. LOL

Nawt t'awll.

For the Enfield Instead of trying to use a finger nail, try using your knuckle on your right index finger. Close your hand in a fist almost, and use the side of your finger.
