I'm trying to remove a stubborn dlask xb5 linear compensator from a 10/22 and it just will not budge. I have a proper set of barrel blocks and an array of channel-locks, vise grips, etc and some pieces of leather and it just won't let go. I have hit it with a propane torch and given it a good soak in penetrating oil, but the weak point seems to be the leather. I can get a good crush grip on the thing but eventually the leather lets go. Can anyone suggest a superior grip material I can put between my channel locks and the xb5?
