Just got done visiting a gun shop here in Phoenix where I got to examine a Glock G45. It is a nice piece of kit and I was quite taken with the size, light weight and nimble qualities of the pistol (G17 frame with a G23 slide).
I am no stranger to Glocks as I already own a G23 and I was prepared to handle something larger and more clunky than that, but I was quite impressed with the G45. I really like the way they milled the end of the slide and the mag well. The finish looks really nice as well and the trigger reset is shorter.
If I dare say the pistol looks like a nicely done, well finished product, even somewhat beautiful.
I can see myself getting this when it comes to Canada. My fervent hope is that it eventually comes in 45 cal with the same dimensions and a 10rd magazine. Not sure if the geometry will allow the same slide width in a 45 ACP but you never know.
If I do break down and decide to finally get a 9mm, this will be the one.
