Help me choose - S&W Revolvers 627/627 V-comp/R8

Looking at a new revolver, already have several. I want one that I could shoot IPSC for fun ( already have guns for 3 other divisions that I shoot) and possibly steel challenge, or just for the hell of it. I have narrowed my choices down to 3 used ones I have found, all about the same price. They are S&W 627, 627 V-Comp and TR8. I would be interested in what you nutters think about the best choice from these.

Sure is, if you take the comp off you could even shoot production in IPSC too

Lemme know if you figure out an effective way to clean out the comp. The fowling gets awful in mine...

I took mine off from the get go. Never fealt the need and heard how dirty they got so I thought I would just avoid that problem. With the weight of the gun I never fealt that recoil was an issue to justify putting it back on.
