First Acquisition of 2019 - Let’s See Yours

Here’s my first acquisition for 2019 - A FN Model 1922, chambered in .380/9mm browning and featuring all matching numbers. I actually purchased this from a site member (thanks again by the way).

Who else has made their first military surplus purchase for 2019 already?

Bought an SVT40 and an SKS off a co-worker, and an M1 carbine just off the EE so far. Only about 30 more to fill the collection...

Co-worker gave me his dad's old side by side, Stevens 530a. Stock has a bunch of repairs that haven't held up so I'll have to replace it.

Thanks to a close friend, I was fortunate enough to start the year off with a matching byf 44 K98k (Z.F. 41.) in walnut. Disregard the LT & HT snipers as they are not technically new acquisitions. ;)

Managed to convince the wife I needed to get in on the preorder G48, first Glock for me, went with night sights. Few days ago jumped on a Zastava M85 mini Mauser in .223 on the EE, needed something that wasn't so heavy for varmint/coyotes.

I took a trade for 2 rifles. Never thought either of these would be in my safe and I could not be happier.

My new M1 Garand. Mixed parts built on a Danish marked Beretta receiver

And my No4 mk1/2 FTR.

Still learning about both. Trying to decide if I should refinish the wood on both. Leaning towards yes as I think they're both mixed parts anyway so I dont think I'd be hurting any historical value. They may have even already had some attempt at a refinish.

BREDA, not Beretta. Google is your friend.

*my mistake, I googled it as well to make sure I wasn't out to lunch and appears some DO have Beretta receivers... nice.

It's OK. It definitely wouldn't be my first time being corrected. I got schooled on my No4 the other day when I called it an SMLE lol. Gotta start learning somehow. I'll add pics of the markings to my last post asap.

Price was right

Picked this up on Monday. The guy I got it from said he was cross eye dominant and couldn't shoot it. Its only had 100 rounds through it and it came with a full box of ammo. He basically just gave up. Paid $450.00. Taking it to the range tomorrow. :)
