Armalite gas tube stag 10

I built one in 6.5 Creedmoor, and I’m thinking I need to get an armalite gas tube too, as I had numerous fte. Admittedly I’ve only been out once with it, and battled through 50 rounds of reloads.

Are Armalite gas tubes available in Canada? If so where. Or does one need to order from the US.

Wolverine is sold out...

Need? No

Some people will say that they help. I've seen no evidence that they're required. Most gas issues are the fault of the gas block.

Not sure I fully understand diagrams

Measure from the breach end to the shoulder where the gas block sits.

If 13.25” it is DPMS style barrel profile, if 13.5” it is An Amalite rifle length gas system (on the left in the pic). You can see the difference.

the 6.5 creedmoore is a bit of an odd breed with this platform it seems. failure to eject can be an over gas situation. This is the nature of the the spring ejector in my opinion, as the bolt outruns its ability to clear the shell. I wonder if the extractor doesn't get blown right over the rim sometimes too. If its locking back on an empty mag, its most likely an over gas situation.

I would also be willing to bet the ammo is over 140grains??. I wonder how many people are running a standard ar 15 buffer/ spring as well?

My 6.5 Creedmoor with a 24" stock barrel was over gassed. An adjustable gas block resolved my FTE issues.
FYI: shooting 143gr ELD-X over H4350.
