Is your FX9 Reliable?

I just got one of these off the EE. It had 50 rounds through it from the previous owner. I ran another 70 rounds today (not much I know), but the gun was flawless. I tried magpul mags, 10 round glock mags, 17 round glock mags, and the 33 round stick mags. The only issue I had was the 17 round glock mags were super tight, so tight I didn't even bother inserting them the whole way. All other mags fed fine and dropped free. The previous owner installed a different trigger spring bringing the pull down the 3.5lbs and its a pleasant trigger to say the least. I am more than happy with my purchase. Hopefully my good luck continues.

Are all the new ones coming with this upgrade, or are we supposed to just roll the dice and request the upgrade after if we have issues?

I really want one of these, but am on the fence after seeing some of the reviews.

No problems with the Magpul 17 rounders pinned at 10.

The point is that there is a free fix if you get a rifle with issues. You're not rolling the dice because no matter whether your new rifle runs perfectly or not Wolverine will make sure you end up with a rifle that functions.
Not many other retailers will stand behind their products like Wolverine does.

You can't buy anything these days, not guns, not cars, not anything where you get a 100% guarantee that what you buy will be perfect. It's just not reasonable to expect perfection 100% of the time. What is reasonable is to expect the manufacturer, importer, or retailer to stand behind their product and make it right if you have issues.

There really isn't any risk, if you like the rifle then buy one.
There have only been a few rifles that actually had problems, most were run with the packing grease or dry then the owner was surprised it wasn't reliable. Most of the ones that had issues either started working well once lubed correctly or after a couple hundred rounds were through the rifle.

The one I played with for an afternoon was like most of them and it fed all ammo from any magazine we tried in it. I'm very tempted by these even though I already have two other 9mm carbines.

Anyone using SGM glock mags in their FX9? Price is appealing on them. I'm fine to add more OEM or Magpul but if people are having luck with SGM then I wouldn't mind giving them a try. Thanks
 
My FX-9 has run like a tank the 2 days I used it. The Vortex reddot Optic I mounted on it drains batteries in the Cold though (not the guns fault lol)

It has eaten several hundred Federal Aluminum rounds (specifically the ones your told not to put in it) with no problem, also used a box of Blazer, Sellier and bellot, Sumbro and federal independence HP.... I got lucky I guess....it worked with aluminum rounds in a whole bunch of different magazine too. No misfires, no jams (knock on wood), or problems at all. Last round bolt hold open worked on every glock mag I put in it both 10rd and 17rd mags. The only mod that I did to the gun was place a dollar store O-ring on the upper receiver at the front attachment point to reduce the slight upper/lower wobble that existed when I bought it. I called Wolverine about this because I am not familiar with the AR platform but so far i'd trust this rifle to work if relied on. Pretty happy with this rifle so far.
 
Oh, and I'd like to see an FX45. Obviously in .45 ACP. Or even better, drop in caliber conversion kits. I'd buy every caliber they'd produce for it if they had them available. Throws money at the screen.

Yeah, the stock trigger is not great and either you love or hate the looks, but they go bang every single time you pull the trigger.

After having a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 that was a jamomatic, I have no time or patience for poorly engineered firearms. Not prepared to be part of a 'beta' test project.

After reading this thread I'll stick to my Euro 9mm collection. Never, ever had a single ftf or jam on either my TP9, GMH9 or CX-4. And I've dumped many cases through em all.
Sometimes spending a couple extra hunnies payback in less headache at the range.
 
Mine from the first batch has been flawless so far. I liberally, and I mean liberally oiled it, let it sit for a week, flipped it over muzzle side down for another week, and she’s been great
 
First trip to the range with the fx9 and i was pretty preoccupied about the reliability off the gun after reading the comment and i was surprised got only a FTF with one old glock mag first gen.
i put 300 round through the gun and it run real good

I just got mine, 100 rounds through it, zeroo issues, ran flawlessly with the supplied mag. I oiled it well, manually cycled the bolt a bunch of times until it felt less gritty.

I'm not discrediting anyones issues with their fx-9 but the one I got to spend an afternoon with ran great. It fed from every magazine we had and all ammo we fed it. He did have a little trouble during the first 200 rounds but since then it's been great.
At least with these there is very little risk to the customer, with Wolverine taking care of issues you don't have to worry about being stuck with a lemon.

So this post pretty much sums it up accurately . In fact it shouldn’t be surprising to anyone that actually reads the thread, and recognizes the similarities of the issues brought up and the reasons for those issues.

We would hope that most gun owners would recognize that a brand new 9mm pcc blowback operated firearm that is tight and drier than a popcorn fart would require the minimal field strip and oiling prior to use. Then there is the added advantage of actually reading the manufactures and distributors recommendations to ensure performance. Is it a coincidence that the firearm is non-restricted in Canada requiring only a pal therefore being purchased by more users with less experience ?
