Deal Alert - RCBS partner press kit $99+Free shipping!

The primer catcher is a piece of junk. Does anyone have a better solution or a lead on where to get one of those cool 3D printed upgraded ones?

Potashminer, I feel even better now!
Thank you for doing the leg work since I was going to try and find out the individual prices tomorrow!

I have a Forest Camping brand shotgun loading set coming from Russia.
Once I get the Hornady LNL AP for pistol ammo later in the year, the RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme or a Redding T7 will be next but purely for rifle ammo.

I think I may have developed a problem...!

Is the Ohaus 5-0-5 still a quality scale or are they now being made in Mexico/China?

Noob to reloading. I looked at this kit last weekend at Cabela's and almost bought it, but I have no idea what dies or other tools I'd need. Help would be much appreciated, I plan on reloading .308win and .223rem

Can I mix different brand dies with this press?

Yes you can mix brands - virtually all common brands of dies come with the 7/8" x 14 tpi. Some presses have removable insert that lets you use the jumbo dies, like for 50 BMG and 12 gauge, but for 308 and 243 you would have to look very hard to find new dies that won't fit.

Several threads on this site about what you need to start loading. With this kit and a set of dies, you could reload. Additional stuff will make the process easier and faster. Something to measure length (calliper for Canadian Tire for $15) and to trim fired cases - Lee case gauge and cutter would be my first two additional purchases. and a reloading manual!!

Thank you very kindly, sir

Yes you can. I use some Lee dies in my RCBS press.

If you are reloading 223 & 308 you will need a swageing tool to ream the primer pockets out. Military ammo has a crimp in the pocket that will make you Hulk rage when you try to insert new primers. You'll end up crushing the new primers and will swear a lot.

Buy a powder trickler to get more precise loads.

I like hand primers because they are faster than the press.

A good set of calipers is also a good thing to get.

I live in the city so I live in a tiny box; I’m not sure I’d ever get into reloading because of the lack of room and I barely can get out and shoot as it is anyways due to distance. Everyone’s making a big deal about this and it sounds like a good deal. Couple questions:

1) If I never use this, is it all in a smallish box I can store for the future in my closet or wherever?

2) What do these go for on ee, if I decide to sell in the future ( in case I never get into this)?

3) With the right accessories ... can this be used for both rifle and handgun ammo?

I’m thinking of ordering one and putting it in the closet or whatever in case of emergency .... ammo shortages, price hikes, political interference, etc. Seem so like a small $$$ investment.

Oh, without a work bench, could I mount this on something more portable?

Thanks for any input that anyone might offer

I bought first asking questions after lol . I got this to essentially reload 50 ae . What am I missing ?
I received it on Friday , all looks good but I’m not sure what I’m looking at haha. Again , what do I need to reload 50ae as that’s what I’ll start reloading and probably use this press exclusively for that

Maybe I’ll check out bass pro .... that one other poster seems to have found a deal there.
Too bad BassPro has no Canadian online presence.

Like most things in life, now that I can’t get one, suddenly I want it lol.

Solid deal! Everything you need to start loading beside dies.
