Lyman Dies?

Anyone have much experience with them? I normally stick with Redding or RCBS (Redding is my preference) but I've got a line on some Lymans. So I thought I'd ask for opinions.

Nothing wrong with Lyman dies. Over a dozen sets which work well.

I actually just got a new set in 308, the FL and seater set.
The FL die was really rough and I had to polish it alot to smooth it out. The seater is pretty much garbage, not a good design at all. They also size brass smaller then my Lee die, ran a piece through the Lee then the Lyman as a way to confirm.
Can't say much good about them at this point... I'll stick with Lee for cheap dies, won't be another set of Lyman bought here.

Got a few sets of Lyman dies and they work good for me. But as Hitzy mentioned if I was buying standard dies I would prefer the Lee dies espically for their dead length seater die that comes with their standard die set. JMO

I have a few older sets for obsolete cartridges, all work as intended with no issues.

My Lyman 45-70 and 30-06 die sets were both bought in 1972, and still produce excellent ammunition.
