Build up in between a2 flash hider and muzzle

Hello, is it normal to have a small amount of greenish black build up between a2 flash hider and muzzle?

Just tried to scrap off but is tough as hell.

You don't need to worry about scraping the bolt, either. Anything that won't come off with solvent and normal cleaning materials (e.g. brush, paper towel, q-tip, etc.) doesn't need to come off that badly. The military mindset of cleaning everything to a white glove, as-new state is how you end up with more guns damaged from improper cleaning than worn out from shooting.

Also, the green colour you are seeing is from copper.
 
As posted in other thread CF members are made to clean AR gas tubes LOL. Not sure if trolling.

Jesus feck, don't do that. I'm sure his staff were arseholes as that's the first I've ever heard it in my 10 years. I'd catch flack just for taking the trigger out, the gas tube gets wiped off and that's all.
