Just a thank you to Superbrad for putting me on to Carver Custom Calls. Ordered the 6 call set at Christmas time. Gave them their first run this morning and called in a Double. My Brother in law and I both missed, but was awesome fun coyote calling this morning. Cheers
 
No problem..... Congrats on your double, in many years of chasing yotes I have missed my share......

The real hero is Kerry Carver, old school craftsmanship and quality at a reasonable price is hard to find these days....

Not sure how much more successful his calls have made me, as that is hard to quantify, but I sure enjoy carrying, using and just plain looking at his calls..... Makes my hunt more enjoyable......
 
Yup...I let one sniff a 45 grain JHP from the .22-250 the other day at 95 yards standing still....glad no one was watching. Lmao.
I'll have to look into the Carver calls, I've had much better luck calling in coyotes with a hand call as opposed to the FoxPro so it'd be nice to have some new ones.
 
Beautiful call and the price was very reasonable for a plastic call all the more reasonable because of the beautiful wood. I've had some success with it already as well. Even howled in a fox. Only negative I would say is I don't like the shape of the tone board. I don't think it's curved enough, allowing it freeze in less than mild conditions. Would definately recommend the call though. May buy a few more. Makes me feel like a fisherman buying lures. Lol.
 
Got my carver calls as well. Can't beat the price. Haven't been out yet but they sure get my Labrador to respond . When I am in the basement he comes tearing downstairs and thumps me in the chest with his paws. lol.

Also driving my family nuts as I learn to use them.
 
Reviving an oldie but goodie...

I am looking into getting one of these calls, or a whole set.
Which one is your favourite and why?

I bought the 5 call set at least 5 years ago, maybe closer to 10. Still my go to calls, although I seem to only use the large howler open reed and the jackrabbit closed reed. I have howled in more coyotes with the hand call than my foxpro fury2
 
Mine are 7 years old also and these are the ones I ordered and use them all from time to time. Like the boys say many times better than the fox pro

Missed a coyote ?
I've never missed a coyote......today , I didn't make it out ...LOL

I have 4 Carver calls and I luv them. I have a good electronic caller but hand calls are just as good in my books and nicer to carry. It's also more rewarding to call in the yellow eyed devils with a mouth call.

A hand turned piece of burl for a call body , is a thing of beauty. I'd put a picture of my Carver Howler on here but it's so pretty It would be targeted by banditos !

I've spoken to Mr. Carver on the phone and he is a real gent.
I told him the only improvement I'd like to see on his calls , is his signature !

A real craftsman !
