stock fits both 455 and 452 ????

just bought a stock and might buy a 455 with heavy barrel next week,

or maybe a left over 452 will the stocks interchange Boyds if made for

a heavy barrel or not, either way I am fine with the new purchase,

just need to be sure and not drag the new stock around for fitting to the gun store

No such luck, mine are both varmint barrels and the in-letting on the Boyds does not cross over.

452s have a lug under the barrel and the 455s only have action screws as far as I’m aware ... so the stock shouldn’t interchange

The rear end of the receiver is machined at different angles and the inletting is also different.
I have used a modified, uninleted 455 stock for a 452 action but it took some work to make it fit cleanly. It doesn't work the other way (can't use uninletted 452 stock for a 455 action.)
