I've been looking to buy more 10-round mags to go with the ATRS AT15 mags I already have, which are unfortunately not being produced anymore and was wondering what people here were using.

I've been looking at the MFT and CPD Lar-15s as well as the ASC 10/30(does the RCMP bulletin even apply to those?).

So yeah let me know what you have been running and whether you are happy with them.

Personally, I'm perfectly happy with the AT15's and wish they were still being made.

I’m using the MFT 10 rounders and am very happy. Compared to my older (now sold) RRA units the follower is stable within the mag body, no shifting around, feeds great and seems built to last. I don’t think you’d be disappointed. My 2 cents.

Myself am looking into the ASC 10 round mags in a crimped 30 round tube.
Anyone happy with them?
Posted here rather than start another thread, OP could use replies as well.

About 5 years ago I purchased 6x , ATRS / IWI Gen 1, mags...... best mags to date !!!
They have been used in my AR's , and Tavor.
Now patiently waiting for my Modern Sporter / FA .

I should have purchased more....

I have 4 of each the ASC 10/30s and the MFTs. No issues with MFTs. The ASC is great with the 30 round body if you are doing any sort of tactical or competition shooting because you can grab them properly out of mag pouches. My ASCs had a small flare up on the top side of the mag catch hole that I had to compress a bit so that they would fall free easier using an ambi mag release, otherwise they now work fine.

I'm using CPD mags with Magpul Ranger plates. The new versions are the same as USGI mags. They drop free, last round hold open works every time and the Ranger plates go on without any trimming of the tabs. My only complaint is that with the Ranger plates the last round is so tight that the mag won't seat on a closed bolt. It will be a little project for when I'm in the mood for it, I have 12x of them to go through...

Ive voiced my concerns on these before.... the RCMP letter on the LAR 15 pistol and magazine accepted into the FRT seemed pretty clear:

3. The design that has been found acceptable as a handgun magazine is held by the RCMP, Firearms Support Services, Firearms Reference Table Section as a "pattern". This particular design and NO other design is approved for use as a "handgun magazine for a handgun commonly available in Canada".

This of course speaking directly of the 10 round bodies magazine.

I fear the 10/30 ones will eventually lead to problems with all LAR magazines....

This is pretty much why I have so far hesitated in purchasing those.

This whole sport is in the RCMP sights. Worrying about mags is the last of our problems ATM.

Those 10/30s are the cats mioew when you need full length mags in your pouches. I hope Cross will make extentions since coupling mags dosent work when training as it adds training scars.

This. I can't stress this enough.

If you fear them that much, this is not the sport for you. Get the 10/30s Blast away.
