So I took my TT 33 apart right to the bones and cleaned it and polished it. The problem is now that it is back together The slide will not go past the hammer. Its like it is stuck. I can force it back but then it sticks open. I do not know what I did wrong but I know I definetly did not put something back together properly but I do not know what. Has anyone else haf this happen and if so can you please tell me how you fixed it.

I have not had this happen but it sounds like there is something going on with your hammer spring.
Maybe it isn't quite in right causing excess pressure making it hard to get your slide back and then in turn the hammer face could be pushing up on the under side of the slide once you do get it on.

Kinked recoil spring? Assembly is kind of a ‘hold this while I do that’ affair. Are you familiar with stripping the TT, or very new?

When you say ‘stripped to the bones’ does that mean the whole hammer group in pieces? I rarely do that. Could have assembled something wrong there.

I think it is the hammer grouo that I put back together wrong. But I took it apart again and put it back together and there is still an issue. The hammer does move freely its the slide thays catching. Even with the hammer down it is still catching

That isn't very adventurous.
You know the part in your instruction manual that says basically "this is how far you can go before you void any warranty"?
I don't own any guns with warranty on them anymore :dancingbanana:

I had a Serbian M57 Tokarev. what may be causing your problem is that ocassionally a pin in the fire control group will back out slightly, not allowing for the fire control group to go completely back in place. This could be causing interference with the slide. You should be able to remove the slide and the fire control group; make sure none of the pins are protruding; if they are gently press or tap them back in place and try again. It does not take much protrusion to interfere with fitting in the proper location.
