Yes Magpul I'd like a Backpacker or a Hunter too!

What optic is that?

Ok so what's the point then? Not being rude but why would someone want one?

Because they look cool. And it's pinned to 10rds by a soft metal rivet. Which can be easily removed in situations that call for it.
Like when visiting the states for a pcc competition shoot.

I'm guessing that's an aimpoint t1, 22lrguy

The point is: those pinned mags are cheaper than a tenrounder and a competition mag grip extension. Nice addition, the loading tension is lighter.

I've seen a few wanted to buy posts but no sign of any one person buying them up in bulk....... :)

They are only good for the PCC's though as they are to short for use in the standard SR9's we have in Canada.

This (the mag not the rifle) is a big commercial failure from Ruger. Having a working mag could have invited customers to look at their handguns line of product... By delivering something that is incompatible with anything legal in Canada, they made that addition useless and a bit frustrating.

The mag they provide DOES fit an existing Ruger handgun - the Ruger SR9 Compact, which is a more popular handgun in the USA than the full size SR9. It's what they ship with the rifle stateside also.

speaking as a fella who has a SR9, i was a little disappointing that the magazine that came with the rifle didnt work in the pistol.
but upon looking at the 2 mags side by side its obvious that its just the base that is different.
one has a floor plate while the pistol one has a plastic extension piece.
id imagine that a fella could order up those plastic pieces from Snapshot and swap over the bottoms if he where so inclined.

It's okay, I don't get it either. I would rather have a mag no larger than neccesary to hold the legal maximum. To each their own! The glock 18 mags would be cool if they held full capacity.

Yup. I would actually like to have a flush fitting 5 round mag as well. It would be nicer for when carrying the rifle in the woods. This rifle has become my walking woods gun, just encase I see a coyote or want to do some plinking on my walk.

Make sure to Loctite your mag release button bolt.

Had mine just about back all the way out yesterday and I probably would have lost the button, bolt and spring in the snow.

Why a flush 5 round mag when A Glock 26 mag 10 round fits pretty well flush

M*Carbo Trigger Spring Kit

I finally got around to installing my MCarbo spring kit today. It took about 5 minutes to install. Prior to modification my trigger was running at about 4lb 7.7oz, after the spring swap the trigger pull has reduced to 3lb 11.5oz. Not a huge reduction but not bad for $13 USD.

Right on, MCarbo has a 20% off sale tomorrow for President's Day.

Yes they would have to change the magazine's base plate to the longer version they make.... they change the barrels for our market, it wouldn't be hard to change the base plates for our market as well.
