Hey folks!

I took a bit of a hiatus, new baby, total career change, some different priorities for a bit there. I feel like it's been close to 2 years since I had any fun!!

Gotta get out to renew my range membership so I can get another handgun or two in the safe. Has there been any new rules or issues that people have been having problems with due to the liberals or is it still smooth sailing? Forgive my ignorance if I missed anything significant!
 
Depending how long ago you purchased a Restricted; 2-ish years might put you before the ‘automatic ATT’ the Conservatives instituted (and which the Liberals are poised to rescind).

If you haven't encountered this, upon the approval of a Transfer to you, they will issue a new RPAL card stuck to a new Conditions paper. You don't need to do anything else for this re-issue, and the Conditions document will detail the new Authorization to Transport parameters which apply to you and most of us. Basically no need to apply for the old ATT paper, and you can take guns to any approved range in your Province, as well as gunsmiths, points of entry, and home from wherever it was right after purchase is approved.

If you go ahead and get these Conditions, they may yet disappear quickly, depending how and if the current Bill C-71 passes and is implemented…
