Like was said above, pinned to 10. But the mags are twice as long and usually will cost you twice as much up here.

Yes Magpul I'd like a Backpacker or a Hunter too!
What optic is that?
Ok so what's the point then? Not being rude but why would someone want one?

I've seen a few wanted to buy posts but no sign of any one person buying them up in bulk.......
They are only good for the PCC's though as they are to short for use in the standard SR9's we have in Canada.
This (the mag not the rifle) is a big commercial failure from Ruger. Having a working mag could have invited customers to look at their handguns line of product... By delivering something that is incompatible with anything legal in Canada, they made that addition useless and a bit frustrating.

It's okay, I don't get it either. I would rather have a mag no larger than neccesary to hold the legal maximum. To each their own! The glock 18 mags would be cool if they held full capacity.
Why a flush 5 round mag when A Glock 26 mag 10 round fits pretty well flushYup. I would actually like to have a flush fitting 5 round mag as well. It would be nicer for when carrying the rifle in the woods. This rifle has become my walking woods gun, just encase I see a coyote or want to do some plinking on my walk.
I finally got around to installing my MCarbo spring kit today. It took about 5 minutes to install. Prior to modification my trigger was running at about 4lb 7.7oz, after the spring swap the trigger pull has reduced to 3lb 11.5oz. Not a huge reduction but not bad for $13 USD.
The mag they provide DOES fit an existing Ruger handgun - the Ruger SR9 Compact, which is a more popular handgun in the USA than the full size SR9. It's what they ship with the rifle stateside also.
