Where can I get a 1911 slide stop asap?

Broke the slide stop on my pistol today. Until I can get a new one, said firearm is dead in the water. I've checked with my usual sources and no one has anything in stock. Any idea where I can get one?

I have some misc slide stops in the parts bin. If you want one I can ship one out tomorrow, you just have to return it when you find what you want (or throw me a couple bucks if you like the one I send). Hard to believe no vendors have anything in stock...

PM if you want one. Nothing fancy, I only have blued/serrated pieces. Nothing stainless or extended. They should get you up and running though.

It might sound cliche, but - with something as common as that - many of the (CGN) banner advertisers will have stock, but the brands and styles won't all be the same.

Armseast will likely have Colt. Canada Ammo will likely have Norinco. Freedom Ventures will have STI.

It becomes a matter of (your) choice, meaning which particular brand and style would you prefer (to replace your broken part)?

I ordered one from Dlask and was charged $17 for shipping, no way would they try to work with me. It was the only I could find so I went ahead... Then a CGNer got a hold of me and offered to send one lettermail for $3. Ah well.

Awesome reply posts to help out a fellow CGN'er fellas!

If your SS is breaking you may have other issues. Make sure you check the barrel link.

This is likely due to a barrel fit - it’s not fully engaging the frame under recoil.

I appreciate the effort people and I apologize for the lack of location on my profile. I've been meaning to update my profile but I just never seem to get to it. I have rectified my lack of location though and I will get to the rest. Thanks for the responses.

I was about to tell you to watch your mail box. Then I realized that this is a package of 1911 safeties - not slide stops.

I have converted several 1911 extended releases to standard, so thought I had them in both blue and stainless. But I guess I have already given them away.

Another Nut will rummage in his junk drawer and get you shooting again.

If you still need one, send me your address by PM. I just checked my parts box & I have one
that I can mail to you.

I agree though that you should get your pistol checked as they usually should not break.
