Calum , anphib is right , across the northwest now all dumps are fenced off with electric fences, and in places like Terrace and Kitimat BC, it has worked, and these are some major bear populated communities, its up to the regional districts to do the fencing out here and maintain it, as for shooting dump bears theres not much else you can do to get rid of them, as for culling game well I can see there point to an extent , culling allows them to chose which animals go from the heard, most hunters take whats in front of them and may not be a animal they want gone, this is easily fixed but would take someone on the MNRs side to think and that would be wrong expecting that from educated people IMHO

ya that is pretty stupid. I'll be at the dump this weekend looking for some bears. I'll have the camera with me so if i see any i'll post pics.

They should trap all these dump bears put them into box cars and let them all go in Toronto. But since Toronto has no dump they would starve??????

well there are many theories on that as well, Kitimat BC has to be the biggest BS story on a dump, now I DONT scavenge dumps but here in burns lake we have recycle sheds and reusables its called, if you have some junk to toss out that someone may be able to use, old blinds, tin roofing etc it goes there.
Kitimat has a ZERO scrounge policy, while I was there working last month I had gate keys for the landfill site, my kid was along for a ride and saw a bmx bike in the metal pile, so while I was dumping he took a look ITS a freeking 600 dollar bmx that needed a back tire and chain, we took it fixed it and gave it to a kid down the street from gramas house who didnt have a bike now he has 1 of the better bikes..........and boy did I get in sh^t when my boss saw the bike in the gravel truck..oh well I quite that job anyhow haha PHUCK HIM

Great idea, and it would work, because Toronto is the biggest freak'n dump in the world.
