I can't get the picture to show bigger but i've been watching this buck for three years now and have never been able to get a good picture.

This guy lives above Noels house and as far as i can tell never leaves the "city limits". There's nothing more frutrating than coming home from a hunt knowing you will drive by one of these mulies or as you said alomst hitting one.

I just laid the spotting scope on the dash of my truck and took these with my digicam right through the windshield. Good enough for me :)

These bulls were about 250 yards away...

It usually just a case of not packing the camera becuase I'll often see these bucks @ 100yds or less. But low light and traffic also play their part. When i saw him with 15 or so does in late November last year I figured he would go the sme ay as many of the big bucks around here and get himself poached.

Last week, we saw a buck standing on top of a coulee while we were golfing. He was easily 800 yards away, it's a shame I couldn't take a poke at him with anything other than my driver. :(

It's great to be able to live in a town where the wildlife wanders by so long as they stay safe and no idiots show up. Last week I saw a letter to the editor about some dumb broad sicking her Lab on one of the local does.

And they think hunters are sick. Argh!

Was at the dentist yesterday and the hunting topic came up. Turns out the hiegenist (sp) lives not far fromour place and has a pet doe with triplets that come to visit on a daily basis. She just moved there so I decided not to tell her black bears have wandered through the past two years in a row.

They are developing across the road from us now, there goes being able to watch the deer from the window.

Randy, you're going to get me divorced by getting me into archery! LOL

The incident Davey mentioned is familiar to one of mine to, in the same spot.
A very nice 5x5 was standing on #22 and I almost hit him with the Grand Am.
He had uprights for a football field on his head! Haven't seen him in years.....
