Hi folks....I posted this query in the black and green forum, but got zero responses. Since this forum usually gets much more traffic, I figure I’d try posting here as well. Im looking to get my hands on a barrel extension that is threaded for Beretta mobil chokes. I have found a 6” extension and 7.5” extension at a few of the supporting dealers, but its to long for my preference. Ideally I would like a 4” extension. Does anyone know if these exist or a place that sells them? I would even consider a 3”-4” long extended full choke instead of an extension if they exist. I found a Beretta turkey choke that seemed to fit the bill, but when I went to the store to puchase it, it wasn't nearly as long as described. The intent is to extend a 20” barrel to about 24” OAL so it can be used in the turkey blind this spring. I already have a 28” barrel for the gun, but looking for something in between the 20” and 28” barrels and an extension may be just want the doctor ordered

Any suggestions? Thanks

A 20" barrel choked xtra full is no different than a 24" barrel choked extra full.

I don't get the end game here?

I already know that, which I why I’m not asking about patterns or suggestions on choke constrictions. Thanks anyway.

The end game is to have a longer barrel in the blind as indicated in my original post.

I still don’t understand what you’re trying to achieve. A barrel extension isn’t going to give you any ballistic or accuracy benefit. Other than a little more eight at the end, you’ll not have any benefit.

I think post #1 and post #4 were very clear as to what I’m trying to achieve.

I have zero interest in balistics, accuracy, patterns or such things.. These are all factors you and another have brought up. Im not looking for any perceived “benefits” which do not exist.

Thanks

You want it longer. Why?

Beretta makes a +2” choke tube, i’ve never seen anything longer.

Yes, this is the one I found online and it the photo was deceiving. A local Sail had one in stock and it wasnt even 2” long. The photo on their website makes the choke appear to be close ro 3” long. Well, it was shorter then a Kicks Hi Flyer

So it sticks out of the blind.

Pretty much this. I have a pop up blind that is suppose to be a 3 man blind. Well its not. And seeing that I will be mentoring a youth and will be sitting in said blind along side him, there will be 2 guys with 2 guns and not much room to adjust inside. My turkey gun has a 24” barrel and its a perfect fit to use while inside. And while the 20” barrel will work, I prefer something longer then a 20” barrel. No different then how I would avoid hunting in a duck blind with someone using shorty shotgun or why many trap and skeet clubs have short barrel restriction. Its a personal preference, thats all

This was the choke I was referring to....it wasnt near as long as it appeared on this photo.....it was certainly shorter then 2”.

Pretty sure at one time browning had a system where choke tubes where 6 inches long or so as a way of lengthening the barrel.
