Armalite or Bushmaster???

some say it is because it is Mil-Spec.

personally i think if it is a name brand rifle with good parts, it is all the same. all my shooting is done on a one way range anyways. no real need for mil-spec

A Stag would be alright I guess. Just as long as it aint one of those older gimpy ones.

Feed rounds.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but they changed the angle and length of the ramps on the m4 to increase reliability. They had found that with the smaller gas system on the m4 the weapon was cycling faster and some jams were occurring.

you will be well served with either one of those. M4 feedramps are not needed for what most civies do. As a side note, Colt Canada does not use feedramps on their None US Spec guns. Nor do they care to.

Feedramps are overrated for what most people need.

When I decided to buy my first AR, I was leaning towards a Bushmaster. My gun dealer told me to get an Armalite instead. Better quality, and less plastic parts than a Bushmaster. True or not, I don't know. But I loves my Armalite!

Eagle Arms did not "start the AR-15".

Eagle Arms, one of many, many, manufacturers of AR-15 rifles, simply bought the rights to the name Armalite.
All the Armalite rifles, tooling, blueprints, etc. had been sold to Colt's (about thirty years prior).

Eagle Arms (now aka Armalite) then started manufacture of complete rifles under the name Armalite. (Their stripped receivers, AFAIK, are still marked Eagle Arms.)

They (meaning Eagle Arms, by whatever corporate name Eagle Arms chooses to call itself) did not , in any way, shape, or form, "start the AR-15".
They did re-establish the name Armalite.

Partially correct.

ALL Colt (Colt Defence, Colt Manufacturing, or Colt Canada -- even back when Diemaco started the SFW's) have M4 feedramps -- however Colt Canada does not have M4 feed ramps into most of their uppers.
I have a bunch of C8SFW and C8CQB pics that illustrate this is photobucket was working right now.

Bushmaster is no longer considered a "name" brand anymore - due to skimping on QC and Testing.
Colt, Armalite, Stag, and LMT are likley the better options in Canada.

And Eagle Arms was actually the storefront of LMT for years - and AR10 was designed by LMT under contract by Armalite. So you guys can blame LMT at least partially if your AR10 has certain design faults.....
