I don't think there are SKS collectors out there that don't have '49, but just in case - Tradex got a batch of '49s. Post some pics when you get them.

Yep, around 15 still available, all identified individually and priced at $595 each.
I would get one, I guess, if I was a REAL SKS collector instead of just a wannabe.:(

$600 + tax SKS...

Back when these first came in and were priced at roughly $169, they were all being sold for the same price regardless of years. Although less abundant than the other manufacture years, many members of CGN received '49s from the first mix-matched batches via regular orders (and regular prices).

Then the distributors wised up after the "Russian SKS collector" trend started and '49 scarcity became apparent... and they adjusted pricing accordingly. And now here we are, with $600 per unit.

(funny thing is, Nikolai sold them all for $20-30 a pop somewhere in Ukraine initially - does he get a percentage of the "price adjustment" too?)

:)

The laminate stocks seem to be shaped for the spike bayo,,, I heard many were not when refurbed, I have one similar. These look nice for sure!

I think I can squeeze one more in my modest 39 collection.

Will let you know when I get it...

I think 600$ is roughly what theyve been selling for on the EE (refurb with 49 features)

It is curious that these were separated though. Im curious when and where it happened. Hasn't been a shipment of Russian SKS in a while.

If anyone is willing to pay 600$ for a sks, then its no wonder the svt sells for 6-800$. Why dont you all smarten up and realize you're all being taken for a ride, wise up ffs! f:P:2:

It would appear that half of the ‘49 SKS’s have moved.

they also added 20 Mosin Nagant 91/30’s most in laminate stock. I think Classic Firearms has a u-tube video about laminate stocked Mosins out there.

Whatever, they are beautiful and in great shape for a 70 year old military rifle that most likely has been loaned to some crappy 3rd world country to war with and then brought back to russia/returned to milspec and stored for 40-50 years!
